Dental Staff

Dr. Shokar graduated from University of Sydney with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2015. During the degree, he was awarded the GC Australasian prize for his research into heart regeneration using stem cells derived from the human tongue. After graduation, Dr. Shokar completed a year long internship at Charles Sturt University in New South Wales where he was an adjunct clinical instructor for second and third-year Dentistry students.

From early 2017, Dr. Shokar initially practiced in Newfoundland and Labrador followed by 3 years of being the Principal Dentist of two clinics
in rural Saskatchewan. He now calls Medicine Hat home along with his family.

As part of his commitment to Continuing Education, Dr. Shokar has completed the Alberta Implant Residency from University of Alberta in 2018. Also completed are courses in Sedation, Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment), and Cone Beam CT. He is a member of the Alberta Dental Association and Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Shokar aims to provide dental care in a gentle, empathetic, and cooperative manner and works hard to guide his patients on their journey to achieve and maintain optimal Oral and Dental health.
